For over 25 years, "basis" has been Europe's largest conference for school students. Hundreds of young people meet there to discuss topics related to education, politics, and society, as well as to get in touch with important personalities.
In addition to numerous soft skills such as project management, rhetoric, organisational skills, time management, moderation, etc. and the exchange with others, educational and political content is a very central aspect of the event.
In particular, the aim is to discuss and work out how the school system in Germany can be made more participatory and contemporary. The opinions and experiences of numerous students are an important element in this.
To promote the conference and its contents, I designed and photographed this campaign in 2015. The campaign shows several students who are in the age range of the target group. From a pool of statements from among the target group, I selected several striking quotes that make the opinions and problems of the students visible in an easily understandable way. In this way, they provide both like-minded people and people unfamiliar with the topic with a basis in terms of content.
Embedded in familiar settings, which could be in many places in the campaign area, the target group is to be addressed where they are and invited to participate.
